The wait is finally over, today's the day! Place your order for the Starfire Red® Gourami now!
Starfire Red® Angels still getting filled every week and the size is select+. These are outstanding and pair well with the Starfire Red® Gouramis. No better time to stock up than on a launch week!
Hey Folks,
Well as expected the Starfire Red® Gourami launch has been tremendous. We have been promoting these like crazy through all of our social media platforms and the response has beaten all expectations. People are excited and out looking for them and now the wait is finally over. With that being said we are extremely busy taking orders so I have managed to put together some stand-out items that didn't make it into the Friday email. And in case you missed Friday's newsletter here's a brief recap:
What's even better is not only do we have the Gouramis launching but had a fantastic week of incoming so there are plenty items to choose from to go along with you order. I'm gonna start with the far east because we got some items that I have been trying to order for eons and they finally got filled. Hard to choose which to go with first but I'll stick to my roots and start with not only a Cichlid but one the largest Cichlids in the world, Boulengerochromis Microlepis aka the Emperor Cichlid. These monsters can grow up to 3' and are absolute stunners as adults. Bright gold coloration with subtle blue speckling along the body. These do not come around very often (first time since I've been here) and there are serious collectors always on the hunt for these. But going to the opposite side of the size spectrum brings us to my next favorite new item, Thayeri Cichlids aka Dwarf Acara. These Curviceps relatives are also fairly uncommon and I really don't understand why. Personally I think they have a much more interesting pattern than their cousins even if they lack the gold coloration. These really do standout as I did a double take when I tried walking past them in our pack room.
But the incoming wasn't just loaded with rare, unusual Cichlids. I would venture to say that the most commonly coveted item will be the Guentheri Killies. You don't have to be a hardcore hobbyist to appreciate these. Their gaudy color speaks for itself. These stay relatively small but be sure to give them plenty of space as they can be quite quarrelsome especially amongst themselves. Sticking with the small and colorful theme brings us to the Scarlet Badis. Not much to add here as most of you have heard my nano speech multiple times by now. Just like letting everyone know when we have them so that way no one misses out on one of the most popular nano fish out there. In addition to those we also got in some Indian Blue Badis. These may not be quite as bright but they certainly are a lot bigger with some gigantic males in the mix.
And of course we will end this week's newsletter with Florida Raised Cichlids. Some familiar faces got much needed restocks this week. Red spot Gold Severums are back with regular, select and medium sizes. Plus we still have one jumbo show piece available that he had brought to Global so if you're interested please get with your rep for pricing. Regular good ole fashioned Green Severums made a triumphant return. For something a bit more aggressive we got in medium Green Terrors and Jack Dempseys in both medium and large sizes. Got in a boatload of large/XL Peacocks this week that are all show quality (will probably snag a couple of these to take to LA Pet Fair). And for the first time in years we got in some locally raised Buffalo Heads.

Mentioned the XL assorted Peacocks in the Friday email but just got a pic of this Rostratus x Red Empress cross hanging out in the mix. That's the great thing about the assortment is you never know which hidden gems you're gonna find.
Got a restock on Fancy medium Mbuna last week but ran out of time/space in the email on Friday. Once again a fantastic blend of hybrids and pure strains.
Got a handful of Lemon Oscars that managed to slip between the cracks somehow but we do have around 10-12 pieces available that didn't make the list. Get with your rep for pricing if you ant to snag them before they're gone.
Rainbow Cichlids have settled in and starting to color up. Showing tone of yellow in the fins already.
Finally got some decent sized medium Blood Parrots. For whjtever reason these have been scarce the last several weeks but this week's batch looks fantastic.
Got another batch of EB Jacks over the weekend. These have been very hit or miss the past couple of weeks so don't snooze on these if you want some. they always go quick.
Gold Pearl Gouramis are back in stock this week. Haven't had these in a bit but look to have pretty good numbers on them at the moment. These are a bit bigger with much nicer color than the regular Pearls that have be available as of late
Madagascar Rainbows are running huge with excellent color and the males have highly exaggerated fins.
Still have some very nice, healthy looking Glass Cats available. Been here long enough to be about as stable as this species gets.
Far East raised Blue Tetras are about as big as the wild imports we get from Peru. Showing off full these guys light up from across the room.
Checkerboard Barbs have been coming in pretty good size the past few weeks. These are big enough to be showing near adult coloration and markings. One of the more underrated Barbs in the hobby.
